Documonta recovers the headings of the Word documents you upload. This is what we keep to do that, for how long, and what deleting your account removes.

What we collect

Your email address, if you give one. You sign in with a code sent to your email, or start as a guest and add an email later.

The Word documents you upload, the style templates you upload and the html and docx files made from them.
- •
Your name, email address and message, when you use the contact form.
How long we keep it
A converted document is removed automatically one hour after it was added, so download your export before then. A template you upload stays until you delete your account.
Who can see it
Your documents and templates are yours alone. Our team can read every message you send through the contact form.

Anthropic runs the language model that reads the text of your document to decide which paragraphs are headings.

Amazon Web Services delivers our emails.

Umami measures how the site and the app are used, without advertising trackers.

Sentry records software errors on this site, in the app and on our servers.
In your browser
The app keeps you signed in with a cookie and remembers your language and colour choices in your browser. We use no advertising trackers.
Your control
- •
Delete your account on the Profile page of the app. This removes your email address, your uploaded templates and any converted documents still held.
- •
Messages you sent through the contact form stay.
